We are dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and innovative space for all people to explore their passions, develop new skills, and connect with like-minded peers.

Our History
Founded on 01 June 2022, 56 Tambo has grown from a small community initiative to a vibrant arts hub serving the Bloemfontein community. Our street honours Oliver Tambo, a key figure in South Africa's liberation struggle, reflecting our commitment to social justice and community empowerment.
Our Projects
Internet Campaign
Working toward providing internet and a community network in Bloemfontein Central, allowing cheap and free communication and file sharing.
African Library Campaign
Promoting literacy in Bloemfontein by collecting/distributing books, establishing a library and running literacy programs.
Zero-Waste Campaign
Reducing waste and encouraging sustainable living through recycling initiatives, composting, and community clean-ups.
Art Hub Campaign
Supporting young artists with exhibition space, collaborative opportunities, and skill development through workshops and community projects.
Youth Development Campaign
Equipping young people with skills and resources through training programs, mentorship, and collectivisation to reach their goals.
Solidarity Market
A vibrant arts and crafts market showcasing local artisans' work, supporting their livelihoods while celebrating community creativity.
