Liability Waiver
By entering 56 Tambo, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions, which constitute a legally binding waiver of liability under South African law.
Acknowledgment of Risks
The venue is a public space where alcohol is consumed, construction or renovation work may be ongoing, and large numbers of people may gather. By entering the venue, you acknowledge and accept the following inherent risks:
- Alcohol consumption: The venue permits the consumption of alcohol, which may lead to unpredictable behavior, intoxication, and potential harm to yourself or others.
- Construction hazards: Parts of the venue may be under construction or renovation, presenting risks such as uneven surfaces, exposed materials, tools, machinery, and other potential hazards.
- Public gathering: The venue may be crowded, increasing the risk of accidents, injuries, or altercations.
Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, you hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless the venue, its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Any injury, illness, or death sustained while at the venue.
- Any damage to or loss of personal property while at the venue.
- Any actions or omissions of third parties, including other visitors or contractors.
Venue's Right to Remove Individuals
The venue reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove any individual from the premises for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Disorderly or disruptive behavior.
- Violation of venue rules or policies.
- Intoxication or impairment due to alcohol consumption.
- Any action deemed to endanger the safety or well-being of others or the venue itself.
Acceptance of Waiver
By entering the venue, you confirm that:
- You have read, understood, and agreed to this waiver.
- You are voluntarily assuming all risks associated with your presence at the venue.
- You are of legal age (18 years or older) or have the consent of a parent or guardian to enter the venue.
Governing Law
This waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from this waiver or your presence at the venue shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

Code of Conduct

What You Need to Pay For
- Goods that we stock for the purpose of selling.
- Equipment or other resources owned by 56 Tambo that you are using outside of the venue.
- The replacement of equipment or other resources that are damaged or lost while you are using them outside of the venue.
What You Do Not Need to Pay For
- The use of any resources while inside the venue.
- Any goods or services that we choose to provide for free.
- The replacement of equipment or other resources that are damaged or lost while you are using them inside of the venue.
Note
56 Tambo reserves the right to not offer any of its goods or services at any time. The use of any of our services, goods or services inside or outside of the venue constitutes agreeing to these terms.

Refund Policy
56 Tambo offers refunds under the following conditions:
Refund Eligibility
- Refunds are available for canceled events or bookings.
- Refunds may be issued if the venue fails to provide the agreed-upon services.
Non-Refundable Situations
- No refunds will be issued for no-shows or late cancellations (less than 24 hours before the event).
- Refunds are not available for services already rendered.
